Lorenza Sierra is an independent architect, researcher, and entrepreneur based in Mexico City. Her work bridges creative thinking, cultural production, and strategic development, supporting ventures from concept to execution.

Lorenza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana and a MS in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices from Columbia University. Her professional experience spans business development, project management, and communications, with a focus on building sustainable frameworks for creative and cultural ventures. Alongside her academic training, she has completed specialized programs in entrepreneurship and innovation, including LUCHA Ventures’ Impact Founder Training (2025) and a Business Direction and Development Diploma from ITAM (2022). Deeply committed to cultural production, Lorenza works as a strategist prioritizing storytelling and collaboration, helping ideas evolve into structured, sustainable projects.

Company consisting of two brands: Estudios Muy Profesionales (EMP), a recording and live-session studio, and Discos Importantísimos, an independent music label and emerging music talent consultancy. In this role, she leads strategic planning and business development, manages day-to-day operations, oversees investments and support capital raising efforts. Lorenza also manages relationships with producers and creative teams, and operates EMP’s live-show platform—including showcases, sessions and artist programming—alongside communications, PR and storytelling initiatives to strengthen visibility and positioning.

Lorenza was an Avery Scholarship recipient at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, where she completed the MS CCCP, a two-year program focused on advanced training in architectural criticism, research, writing, publishing, and curatorial practice, expanding architecture beyond traditional professional and academic models. As part of her studies, she completed elective coursework at Columbia Business School and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Her independent research culminated in the thesis Urban Canvas: Stories on (a) Chromatic Event(s), advised by Wonne Ickx. Her research examines the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games as a chromatic and mediatic construction of national identity, analyzing how design, color, and media were strategically mobilized to shape enduring cultural narratives amid socio-political tensions.

Lorenza founded and led a multi-channel venture integrating editorial publishing, public programs, and a digital network, while designing and testing diversified business models including B2B services, subscriptions, and brand collaborations. Led the editorial direction of four published volumes and multiple live and digital activations, forging partnerships with leading institutions and studios to expand reach and impact. Lorenza produced large-scale launches of over 200 attendees that combined brand partnerships with community engagement, securing media coverage in ArchDaily, Architectural Digest, and Local MX. She raised early-stage capital through community-based funding, sponsorships, and collaborations with brands such as Crest, Comex, Cosentino, and Cuervo. In addition, Lorenza developed the Talent Market prototype with input from over 250 creative professionals and positioned MENTES as a regional reference for equity and innovation in Latin American design, growing a community of over 5,000 members.

Lorenza supported media, research, and curatorial content for one of Latin America’s most acclaimed architecture studios, conducting research and design production for projects with institutions such as the MAXXI Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Cartier. Lorenza coordinated media and editorial narratives with global outlets like Vogue, Wallpaper, STIRworld, and Harvard Design Magazine. Additionally, she participated in conceptual planning and presentations for upcoming global architecture projects and collaborations.
